Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video

Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon

Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we'll be taking a look at the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Box and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2024 Subaru Outback. Now, if you're looking to expand the cargo space of your Outback and you want to utilize that factory roof rack since you already have it, the SkyBox is gonna be a great way to do it, and there's a number of reasons for that. For one, it's a pretty sizable box, giving you 16 cubic feet of storage space. But two, the factory roof rack sits really close to the top of the roof on your Outback, and that can present problems for certain clamp round accessories just not having the room or maybe making contact with that painted surface on your roof. The low-profile clamps on the SkyBox are gonna work great with your factory bars on your Outback, making it, in my opinion, the perfect solution. more

Inno Shadow 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2023 Subaru Outback Wagon

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Shadow rooftop box and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Subaru Outback, With 13 cubic feet of storage space inside the box and interior measurements measuring out to 72 inches long, 25 and five eighths inches wide and 11 inches tall, there's gonna be a good amount of room inside for a variety of different gear whether you wanna carry things like skis and snowboards, more long items or maybe a few duffle bags and small backpacks, camping gear, that sort of thing that's maybe a little bit taller. Overall, it's a fairly low profile box so do keep that in mind when you're loading it up. But you should be able to fit a wide variety of things. This box can open from either side of the vehicle so you have easy access whether you're having some street parking or in a parking lot where there's limited space. Just turn the key to unlock it. more

Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 rooftop box and seeing how it fits on our 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon. So one thing I do wanna note is that this roof box does work with your factory bars. That's how we have it installed today. You can totally use it with aftermarket crossbars if you have those too. But since your Outback probably is gonna come with factory raised rails and these factory crossbars it is important to know that it fits because a lot of crossbars from the factory are a lot thinner and sometimes don't work with as many accessories. more

Inno Shadow 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Shadow 16 Rooftop box and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2022 Subaru Outback. So I do wanna point out right away that we are using this with factory crossbars. That's pretty important to note because sometimes factory crossbars will have a lower weight capacity than aftermarket ones and generally they're gonna be a lot smaller, so fitting certain accessories is going to be a bit more difficult. So if something works with factory crossbars which a lot of these Subarus have, it's good to know because you wanna make sure the accessory you're looking at works with those. Now it's gonna work just fine with aftermarket crossbars too, pretty much anything will but with these ones you wanna know that it's working with those. more

Hey it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 rooftop cargo box and how it fits on our 2023 Subaru Outback wagon. So if you have a lot of items, you do have a decent amount of storage in your Subaru, but maybe you have some longer items, maybe you just have something messy, maybe you have skis and snowboards or something like a golf bag that's gonna take up a bunch of space. You'd rather get it up on the roof, but you wanna keep it safe while you're getting it to where you need it to go, this is gonna be a great option for you. So let's check out how it works. The box says 16 cubic feet of storage, which is kind of hard to internalize and know what that means. more

Hi, everyone. Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Inno Wedge Plus Rooftop Box on our 2019 Subaru Ascent. AJ: What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to check out the Trunx rooftop box on our 2009 Subaru Forester. Right away when you look at it, you see it's different from other rooftop boxes. With these prop rods, it gives you three points of access, so you can throw things in from either side of your vehicle, or just straight up from the back. That means if you're in a tight parking spot, and there's a car right next to you, and you can't quite load up, or you're worried about unloading it, you can just go to the other side. And if you're parked on both sides, then you can go from the back here. Now, you are going to need a crossbar space of 22 inches for it to attach properly. more

Inno Roof Box Review - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek INBRM660WH

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're going to be test fitting the INNO Wedge 660 rooftop cargo box, part number INBRN660WH.This comes in a gloss white color, but it also comes in a gloss black as well, and this has very sleek design to it with an aerodynamic shape, which is going to help cut down wind noise and drag while you drive. This has 11 cubic feet of space to work with on inside, and you can store anything from your skis, your snowboards, fishing poles, camping gear or just regular luggage, too, everything you want to keep out from the inside of your vehicle or make more space for the inside of your vehicle.Coming to the back portion of it, it has this nice curved back end here on which you can see, we didn't have to remove our rear antennae here once we installed it. Also, we didn't have an issue of clearance, either, between our rear hatch and the box as well. This does have a carrying capacity of 110 pounds, but you always want to double check with the vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can take those weights, and it has dual sided opening as well, meaning it can open on either the passenger or the driver side, and so, you can have this more towards either side depending on whichever side you want to load your gear on.It does come with a set of keys and locks, and once it's in the unlocked position, you can't remove the key so that reduces the ability of locking these in the box, which I have done several times before on others, and then we also have this button on the side here as well. Push that in and that opens it up.It does come with the two straps to tighten up your gear so it doesn't shift back and forth while you drive, and it also has these memory mounts, which is how it attaches to your roof rack system. You close the clamp and the two clamps on the other side will grip your existing roof rack system and stay in place. It also has this gray dial on the side. more

As you can see, there's plenty of space in-between, and also, it's not gonna come into contact at all with our rear hatch, as there's plenty of space in between there as well. The box has a nice aesthetic look, especially with this particular vehicle. The black gloss plays perfectly off the color of the car. The box also has an aerodynamic shape to it. You can see that here, and that's gonna cut down wind noise and drag while you drive. To open it the key has to be inserted and in the unlock position, and once it's in the unlocked position, you can't remove it. more

The part number is TH614. Now we've already got our Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System installed on the vehicle, so we'll just place our cargo box right up onto those crossbars. This box is designed to open from the right side, so we'll want to be sure we favor this side as we put it in. We'll then take a quick look at the front just to make sure we've got it sitting straight. Looks good. I'm now going to open the passenger's side door here and step in. more

Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2015 Subaru Forester

Today on our 2015 Subaru Forester, we're going to do a test fit of the Thule Force Large Rooftop Cargo Box. This offers 13 cubic feet of storage space, comes in a nice arrow-skin finish, part number on it is TH624. We've already got our Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero crossbars installed on our vehicle so we'll begin our test fit by placing the box directly onto those bars. As you can see, the feet are designed to stick out of the bottom of the box so we found that this is the best time to get these in line so they'll go around our bars. With all four of the feet going around the bars, let's take a look up here at the front to be sure we have our box centered on the top of our vehicle. It looks pretty close, believe it or not. We'll then open up our passenger door, open the passenger side of the box and inside we're going to find two gray knobs located here on the passenger side. Tightening these knobs secures our clamp around our bars. more
